In '76 I dropped out of college and became a flight attendant for Cathay Pacific Airways for a year . I lived in Hong Kong for 6 years, 4 of which I was married to a New Zealand airline Captain, divorced 4
years later, married a Scotsman, had triplet girls, moved to Australia, divorced 6 years later, and four
years after that I moved to Guam, finished college with a BA in Special Education, and a Masters in
Education. I've been living in Guam since 1990. I've been living with this wonderful man for 13 years. My kids have all finished college (2 at U of Southern California and 1 at U of Portland). My sister and I own a gourmet coffee shop here and I work as a Consulting Resource Teacher at a local Middle School.
I still travel a lot. In fact I went to KL two or three years ago. I didn't go to where our school WAS, I went to where it (one of the many school sites) IS now. I went into the library and xeroxed the entire yearbook of 1973. I found the math teacher who always wore a saree still teaching there. They had like a Burger King concession stand in the cafeteria! It was all fancy, concrete and brick. Nice. I visited the house I lived in Petaling Jaya. Wow it looked much smaller than I remembered it being. Things are much more built up than when we were there. New roads, overpasses, buildings like Petronas Towers.
