My church made a big fuss for me all weekend after my birthday. It was very kind of them, In the biggest service, fans were passed out with a picture on it (almost life size) of my face in a picture taken when I was 16 years old. At the close of the pastoral prayer (when we pray for the people who have different kinds of needs and issues together in the service) when I said “Amen” I opened my eyes and looked up and all of the people had their faces covered with the fans. It was pretty cool.

It was a surprise occasion organised by my partner Linda. Boy what a surprise...first Peter Doornbos and then yep...you guessed it, in walks Alfie Eu. The three of us drank, ate, drank, reminisced, drank, laughed, drank and then drank some more. It was a great 3 days together as Peter stayed over and Alfie stayed with us for a full week. We had all individually caught up in recent years, but this was the first opportunity for the three of us who were so close in KL to reuinite together. I guess those who have had their own reunions (big or small) know how genuine the smiles are. We already have big plans for KL in 09!! (Left to Right: Tony, Peter, Alfie)
