Dear Friends:

Hello everyone! It is great see so many familiar names and to get back in touch again. So where are all of you
and how has last 30 years been?

I graduated from RPI in a hurry and went to UC Berkeley for my grad school. It was simply too cold in Troy,
New York and sunny California is just so much more tempting. With a EE PHD tug under, I went to AT&T Bell Lab and worked there for many years in semiconductor technology. Great place and a treasure for the whole world. Unfortunately, AT&T does not know competitive business for S.. When AT&T decided to spin off Microelectronics and hardware, I decided to move back to Asia and worked for TSMC, the largest dedicated Integrated Circuit manufacturing service company in the world. After 6 years, I decided to try my luck in China and help to set up a new foundry, similar to TSMC, in Shanghai. This company is called SMIC and within a 4 year span, we have sprout from 10th place in this sector to number 3 world wide, behind TSMC and UMC,  with revenue just shy of US1B.

Life besides work? Happily married with 3 great kids. I now live in Shanghai and that may be the reason I have not been able to hook up to ISKL site. The government blocks certain internet sites based on some weird algorithm, I guess. I can get on NY Times and Washingon Post and even the most conservative Wahington Times, but I do not know why ISKL might be considered a threat. However, Shanghai is such a cosmopolitan city that you could not find any trace of Communist  idealogy here. We are happily lodged in China now. If any one of you pass by this region, please do not forget to give us a ring.

Love to know what some of you are up to.
